We here at Brittany Bend Kennels are a small breeder
of Brittany Spaniels with 15 years experience. We are located in
southern New Jersey and occasionally have litters available. We breed
our Brittany’s for hunting ability, temperament, intelligence and trainability.
Our dogs are AKC registered and come from championship bloodlines. |
The Brittany is a compact, closely knit dog of medium
size, a leggy dog having the appearance, as well as the agility, of great
ground cover. Strong, vigorous, energetic, and quick of movement.
Ruggedness, without clumsiness, is a characteristic of the breed.
They have a fairly short, lightly feathered single coat. They can
be orange and white or liver and white. Eyes are amber or hazel depending
on the coat color. The tail is either naturally short or docked to
less than four inches. The Brittany is intelligent and easy to handle
and train. It is a loving and gentle animal, obedient and eager to
please. They are hardy and even-tempered, a perfect pet for an active
family. The Brittany has earned great popularity among millions of
hunters because of its moderate size, which allows hunters to transport
them easily. Because of its great character, it is also popular as
a companion dog.
The average height is 17 ½ to 20 ½ inches, and weighs
30 to 40 pounds.
They will require a regular brushing to keep their coat in good condition.
This breed is a light shedder.
Our Brittanies are experienced hunters as well
as big lovable house pets. The younger ones have completed obedience
